Los Angeles, CA – November 4th, 2005 – Shinano Kenshi Corporation, one of the world’s leading OEM motor manufacturers, has announced the release of a brand new 36mm x 0.9º stepping motor featuring a standard Nema 14 mounting configuration. This motor was developed and manufactured specifically for use in the United States security and surveillance markets. However, it’s versatility and unique size make it instantly adaptable to a larger world market.

“SKC has spent a very healthy six figures developing and tooling the product,” Rex Bergsma, President of the North American subsidiary explained. “Our factory has done a great job creating a product that can put its money where its mouth is – a product that runs incredibly smooth and offers a real price value.” Intensive research was conducted in the marketplace. “We looked at similar products and not only asked how we could improve on them technically, but how we could hit a price point that makes it a better value, makes a real difference.”

The SKC 36mm round x 0.9º stepping motor is available in two different heights – 12mm and 19mm. Customized features are also available.

Though compact in size, this motor provides a very smooth motion quality, particularly at slower speeds (100 – 150 rpm). Trial customers have commented on the motor’s motion quality vs. similar products on the market. The SKC motor also provides superior torque vs. speed performance (based on actual measured results). Flexible options are available including mounting plates,
connector schemes, and lead-wire lengths.

The new SKC motor is perfect for any application where small size, smooth motion control or step accuracy are critical.
